When Loneliness Won’t Leave You Alone With Dianne A. Allen
Tuesday Mar 29, 2022
Tuesday Mar 29, 2022
Do you feel complicated grief and loneliness that won't leave you alone? Many of us do; in these difficult times, we experience distress and sadness when lots of changes have all been dumped on us without having the time to heal, resonate, rectify, and integrate everything that is happening.
Join me in this episode of Someone Gets Me — When Loneliness Won't Leave You Alone: ▶️https://youtu.be/iE3_dr7cqrs.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️Understand that you're not alone. Others are going through the same things as you; you just don't know it. We go through these deep times where loneliness follows us around. Sometimes it's because we might have a high spiritual calling. Sometimes it can be complicated grief.
✔️Allow me to remind you, my friend -- life is not linear. What we go through is happening in circles. So when things come up and you think: “my old feelings of pain are back again. What must I not have done to heal it right, or what did I do wrong?” I'm here to tell you you did nothing wrong.
When you come back around to that same spot with the same issues differently or more profoundly, you may have cleared off some of the top layers, and as you evolve and grow, it's time for your soul to heal something even deeper. Give yourself grace, and you will find all of the answers are inside.
✔️ Loneliness can become your friend. Do you go through that sorrow, that loneliness, that heavy sadness, and you have no idea where it comes from? These can be the result if we are feeling disconnected from our source. These emotions can be healthy signs to remind us of the essence of who we are and what we are here to do.
✔️ We feel grief when we make a change, even for the better. It's normal to feel grief even when you make significant positive changes, like getting engaged, married or having a baby. Grief comes because it's the feeling that happens, the conflicting mass of emotions. It's not just when losing a loved one or there's something wrong. We feel grief when we make a change, even for the better.
✔️ When you feel guilty about having these emotions, don't go the route of isolating yourself. Don't be afraid to speak up; we've seen how the stigma has created more harm for people. Don't let that complicated grief over time separate you and create a bigger loneliness pocket in your world than necessary.
✔️ All of us are vital puzzle pieces in the vast greatness of this universe. I noticed that the more I dove deep in myself, the more I let that part of me say YES to the universe. Loneliness will no longer follow you around when you do this for yourself. It's time to get connected to who you are, find your peace so you can live with beauty, grace and happiness.
✔️Take the time and invest the effort in knowing and healing yourself. Allow someone who already has done it for themselves to support you. See how loneliness dissipates when you do.

Being a Good Storyteller with Selena Anduze
Tuesday Mar 22, 2022
Tuesday Mar 22, 2022
The media and entertainment industry is one of the toughest in the world. For actress Selena Anduze, it takes relentless passion and commitment for the craft itself to sustain the hardships of the industry and the stress in the business of acting. The journey of making it in the entertainment business requires knowing how to set boundaries and protect your energy.
Join me in this episode of Someone Gets Me — Being a Good Storyteller with Selena Anduze. ▶️https://youtu.be/BP0es2DHsQA.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ There's no age limit, height limit, and certainly no race limit on being a storyteller. Born and raised on the US Virgin Island of St. Croix and then transplanted to the United States during her teens, actress Selena brings a unique storyteller voice to her TV and film roles. She is most known for her role as "Agent Rodriguez" in the Marvel show WandaVision on Disney+.
Selena considers acting as a gift that comes with profound responsibility. As a storyteller, she chooses to represent people who, like her, possess different ethnicities. "I have a sense of duty to make sure that I'm not seen in a stereotypical but positive way that is culturally educational to the rest of the world."
✔️ Work is a vocation that comes from that calling within your soul. For Selena, getting into acting for the sake of getting famous can get awry. "It's going to be really hard for someone to be successful if they're just chasing fame. You need to be pursuing your passion for storytelling and ask: Where do I fit? What is my dharma? What is my purpose, and who should I be the best at telling a story that helps the whole village of humanity survive?” Be the one telling the stories that need to be told and at least hope to reach precisely the people you are supposed to touch.
✔️ We are interrupters who came in with a soul calling to interrupt the intergenerational trance before us. Do you feel like an old soul that doesn't really fit in with the people around you? You are one of the rare ones. Like Selena and Dianne A. Allen, you are an interrupter. Often, you are the black sheep of the family; you came in with a soul calling to interrupt the intergenerational trance before us, chosen to create a bigger change.
Be who you are. You are doing a mighty service by stepping into that authentic being who firmly takes a stand.
Selena Anduze has been a performing artist since age 7. Born and raised on the US Virgin Island of St. Croix and then transplanted to the United States during her teens, Selena brings a unique storyteller voice to her TV and film roles. She is most known for her role as "Agent Rodriguez" in the Marvel show WandaVision on Disney+. When away from set, Selena serves the performing arts community as a local Atlanta SAG AFTRA board member and committee Vice Chair member and an educator and private acting coach.
A list of her credits and current projects can be seen on IMDb (imdb.me/selenaanduze). Follow her on Instagram @selenaanduze and visit her website at www.selenaanduze.com.

Deaf to the Negative / Ignore the Naysayers With Dianne A. Allen
Tuesday Mar 15, 2022
Tuesday Mar 15, 2022
"Follow your purpose" sounds like a simple thing to do. But when we live in a world full of people who have ideas and opinions about what we're supposed to be, what we can do, or how things are supposed to work -- we get distracted and often redirected from living up to our vision.
Tune in to this episode of Someone Gets Me — Deaf to the Negative / Ignore the Naysayers with Dianne A. Allen ▶️https://youtu.be/h5kyNtMDqsY.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ How often do you stop and ask: What am I called to do?
Follow your calling by being deaf to the self-doubt within and what is said outside of you. As Stephen Covey said: "It's easy to say no when there's a burning yes within."
✔️ We're all here for a different purpose, even when they look similar. There's not two of me, just like there's not two of you. Be you in your unique, amazing, cool way, bringing your gift forward.
✔️ What you CAN do is different from what you are CALLED to do. A good idea is different from your calling. Therefore what you can do is different from what you're called to do. Over time, that heart's vision, that passion, that mission you are here to do will keep showing up until you listen.
✔️ Your life is a masterpiece — so start signing autographs now. Every time you do that, you are honoring your purpose, mission, and your heart's true desires that's different from everyone else's.

Changing Limiting Beliefs With Dianne A. Allen
Tuesday Mar 01, 2022
Tuesday Mar 01, 2022
Our beliefs reflect our attitude towards the world. A majority of beliefs we acquire before we are two years old — we learn them before we even speak. There should have been no limits, but the many boundaries that restrict us are the ones we impose on ourselves.
Join me in this episode of Someone Gets Me —Changing Limiting Beliefs with Dianne A. Allen ▶️ https://youtu.be/SvzUOAYno1k.
Key points covered in this episode:
Step #1: Be aware. We want to be intentional about checking our attitude. Those attitudes can create depression, disconnection, angst. It can even start fights. We usually don't even understand those beliefs until we somehow run into a challenge.
Step #2: Inner Honesty. Ask: how does this belief affect me really on the inside? Some of us are really good at pretending like we're happy, open-minded or OK with a certain thing, but we're secretly not. Recognize and accept your truths even if others say otherwise. Be willing to have that honest dialog with your inner self.
Step #3: Always reserve the right to change your mind. You are not a machine; you are a beautifully complex being. So why are you holding yourself back from changing your mind? The choices you make might be perfect for you today but may not work very well a year from now or a decade after. Give yourself that permission, make mistakes and free yourself from the inner bondage of human ignorance.

How To Come Out Of Your Head And Into Your Body with Clare Maxwell
Tuesday Feb 22, 2022
Tuesday Feb 22, 2022
Nationally certified Somatic Educator and teacher of the Alexander Technique, Clare Maxwell teaches how to start listening to your body, knowing what feels good and getting curious about it as the path to true health.
Tune in to this episode of Someone Gets Me — How To Come Out Of Your Head And Into Your Body with Clare Maxwell ▶️
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ Highly sensitive and gifted people need an even more embodied grounding than most. Clare explains the benefits of her practice in these difficult times and the beauty of experiencing self-awareness and self-consciousness.
✔️ Movement is very helpful to wake the body up. When you move your foot or your waist, it produces a sensation that feeds your brain. The simplicity of moving activates your sensory map when you move.
✔️ Remember, your body is your ally. Whether you say, "I'm feeling really stiff right now" or "I'm feeling good!" try and catch that. It's important to notice because whatever you think, your body is carrying it out to the best of its abilities.
✔️ Being "IN" our body is critical to our health, welfare and wellness.
Our bodies are so multidimensional and multifaceted that all of our BEING will benefit from an embodiment practice, understanding that it is more vital than any method or technique.
✔️ As most gifted and intelligent people tend to live in their heads, you have to realize that working your way through to achieve healing and release will require several modalities that will work perfectly for you. Talk therapy alone only takes care of about 20%, while most of our healing is non-verbal. Bringing that synergy requires movement, music, and creativity and making all these different things work together.
Clare Maxwell is a nationally certified Somatic Educator and teacher of the Alexander Technique. She was a professional dancer and choreographer for over 30 years. She is now an internationally recognized embodiment and movement teacher and the owner of Embodied Learning Systems, which provides private and group learning as well as a supportive, non-hierarchical learning community for other embodiment teachers who want to develop a unique body of practice and build successful businesses.
Clare has created two healing movement practices, Cranial Nerve Sequencing and Mobile Body Alignment. Trauma experts tell us that we should listen to our bodies, but because they are focused on healing and not creativity, they sometimes don't explore the full palette of colors, textures, and abilities that is available to us. Science is important, and healing is important, but so is creativity. Clare's practices break down the skills you need to "listen to your body" nerve by nerve, organ by organ, step by step, while still making room for the capricious, unique spirit that lives within each of us.

Spiritual Principles in Leadership with Dianne A. Allen
Tuesday Feb 15, 2022
Tuesday Feb 15, 2022
Anyone can be a leader living by spiritual principles; it doesn't matter whether you are at ages 4, 34 or 84. What matters is that we live by principles that are of higher understanding. Allow me to say: it's not about religion, and I'm also not talking about all of the woo-woo stuff. That's not what this is about. This is about living our life and leading by higher principles.
This episode will discuss what I've created as pairings of spiritual principles that help balance our leadership skills. This is not meant to be an exhaustive research study but to help us see that we can take spiritual principles with specific energy and focus and manage the internal way of operating in the world as a leader, no matter who you are. Using them makes us remarkable, gifted leaders simply by being grounded and rooted in a foundation that makes sense.
Join me in this episode of Someone Gets Me —Spiritual Principles in Leadership with Dianne A. Allen ▶️
#1 Imagination and Understanding. Your "imagination" allows you to pull your brilliant ideas together, while "understanding" will enable you to bring them into the world. Having them work together dramatically improves how you lead yourself and lead others.
#2 Faith and Strength. Faith means trusting the unseen, which for some gifted people, is tricky. We want to dial into those hunches, inspired ideas and when your gut says something -- you can bring them forward. In the spiritual world, strength means being connected and knowing what's true for you and what isn't. Learn how to be strong in your convictions.
#3 Divine Love and Wisdom. Love is the motivator of altruism, care, kindness and compassion. And what goes with love is wisdom, a cognitive, intellectual manifestation of compassion and love because of action.
#4 Zeal and Order. If we have too much order and not enough fun, things don't work out well; it gets cattywampus. Yet if we have too much zeal and enthusiasm and not enough order, things can just spin out of control and be goofy and crazy. These two go together really well. We want to have order in what we're doing, which gives us the foundation to be spontaneous and have fun.
#5 Elimination and Regeneration. That's why the Dead Sea is dead; it's got no inlet and no outlet. So we need to have an outlet, an elimination factor, letting ourselves spiritually let go of what is no longer serving us, whether it's a belief, attitude, habits, and people or things. The spiritual rule is to release what no longer serves to give space for what's good to come.

Dealing with Grief as an Empath with Ruth Vaughan
Tuesday Feb 08, 2022
Tuesday Feb 08, 2022
People steer away from sharing difficult personal experiences that may fall on the ears of a judging listener. But for Ruth Vaughan, a multipotentialite empath -- she opens the book of her life to encourage the many others who may just be dealing with their pains and grief alone.
Tune in to this episode of Someone Gets Me — Dealing with Grief as an Empath with Ruth Vaughan ▶️
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ You can move on after deep losses, and you're changed forever as a result of it. The pain of losing a loved one never really goes away. People think after the funeral is over, it's done. The world may have stopped, but it only stops for you. Life continues for everyone else, and that isn't easy.
✔️ Grief and big grief compounded. Ruth describes it like arthritis. "The pain is still here; it's always going to be inside of me. It lessens or can even get better. But then it flares up again, even with the smallest trigger."
✔️ When Ruth lost her husband in a tragic car accident, she also lost herself. For many years, she wasn't exercising, eating right or doing anything she should have been doing to take care of herself.
✔️ Faith is what kept her fighting to continue living. "Life ebbs and flows, and you can have a terrible day, but you have to stick around because, after that, you're going to have more wonderful days. We've lost so many people, yet we just need to have the tenacity to hang in there. Be strong; you still have to do what you have to do."
✔️ Looking at the big picture of life, nothing else matters except those who will always have your back and support you in the most challenging times. Your family and friends are invaluable. They will shine the line in your darkest moments.
✔️ Humor helps take you through the good, the bad, the messy, the ugly, the joyful and everything.
Ruth Vaughan was raised on their family farm until her dad died when she was 11. She was always one to enjoy learning new things; she excelled in school and went on to get not only a BS but also an MA. Upon graduation, Ruth met and married her husband, Gary, and they have 3 amazing children who are now successful adults. Ruth was a Title 1 reading and math teacher for 18 years. She retired after her husband passed and was a stay-at-home mom until her youngest went to college when Ruth got her real estate license. She enjoys reading, traveling, Pilates, yoga, and time with family and friends in her spare time.

Loneliness Cure
Tuesday Feb 01, 2022
Tuesday Feb 01, 2022
Loneliness plagues the gifted and twice-exceptional — the people who don't live in the boxes of life, which is most of us, right? This often results in becoming addicted to alcohol, drugs, food and all kinds of stuff.
In this episode, I want to talk about how to cure that loneliness, fix that disconnection, and remedy that part of our yearning for something more. Look at five significant areas in your life to see the overarching picture and help you understand simple, easy and manageable ways to start filling up holes that need to be filled. It's time to realize that your loneliness is an inside situation.
Join me in this episode of Someone Gets Me —Loneliness Cure with Dianne A Allen. ▶️
✔️ #1 Mental Clarity. Our belief systems, attitudes about things and what we say to ourselves matters. Our brain believes in our own voice above all others. If you often say, "Oh, I'm not good enough, nobody likes me, or they'll never understand me, and say it over and over, you will create that experience.
✔️ #2 Physical Motion. Develop a sense of physical ease by taking better care of yourself and pursuing movement. Doing so allows you to get comfortable in your own skin. Great things to do for this are Taichi, Qigong or Yoga. Be in your body and not just in your head.
✔️ #3 Emotional Freedom. Emotion is the energy source that tells us we're alive. We feel excitement and fear that are the same biochemically. The difference is in our minds. So what are we doing with the energy source that tells us we're alive? Are we allowing our energy to flow and be kind and compassionate? Or are we withholding things?
✔️ #4 Spiritual Assurance. You are totally perfect as you are. Connect to your calling and how you are meant to be in the world. The more you live that with integrity, the easier it is to cure that loneliness because you'll draw other people to you with that energy of yours that will be attracted to that part of you.
✔️ #5 Social Connections. We need people in our corner that get us. The ones that understand who we are and how we operate. Like musicians need to talk about rhythm and melody, artists discuss perspectives and colors and hues, writers who express with words -- we need to have the people in our world who understand our language. We should have multiple peer groups that feed different parts of ourselves.

Women in Technology with Sarah Freeman
Tuesday Jan 25, 2022
Tuesday Jan 25, 2022
Today, we see more women play the roles that men once highly dominated, particularly in the technology space. Our community is becoming more accepting and naturally moving in that direction. However, inequality is still prevalent and requires more focus and effort to address.
Business technology consultant Sarah Freeman saw gaps in the industry regarding women and minorities. She made it her life's purpose to alleviate the conditions and create solutions through her work and nonprofit passion projects. It is possible to profit with perfect purpose and address the digital divide with the power of being female.
Tune in to this episode of Someone Gets Me — Women in Technology with Sarah Freeman ▶️
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️Sarah celebrates her 17th year in a career in technology. She recalls why it's such a blessing that she followed her instinct pursuing her love of computers instead of following her family's advice to go into sales.
✔️ Even as the number of women going into technology is on the rise, it still isn't easy. Sarah helps women get into the field and get over that stigma.
✔️Sarah's partnerships with various nonprofits in the Phoenix area have allowed her to deliver computers directly to students in need. She also volunteers at Warriors Code as a side project, helping minorities receive tech certifications.
✔️ Implementing a woman's intuition would mean making conversations with suppliers, tech people and network engineers that sometimes would receive blank stares. Today she talks about how spirituality and manifestation are at the forefront of society with increased interest from men.
✔️ Intuition is not what many people think; it is not all woo-woo. It is the highest form of intelligence. And when you combine it with trust, openness, and awareness — verifying and confirming what you're getting, then it becomes a total game-changer.
✔️ There is genius in inclusion. Unless organizations fully realize that valuing diversity and prioritizing people and their differences must be adapted as a culture, we cannot achieve our fullest potential as a nation and as citizens of the world.
Sarah Freeman is a technology advisor and the CEO of Attollo Technology. Her mission is to elevate industry expectations in regard to how businesses approach their technology needs. As a former Vice President of a technology trade association, she saw a gap in the industry regarding women and minorities. Her partnerships with various nonprofits in the Phoenix area have allowed her to deliver computers directly to students in need. She volunteers at Warriors Code as a side project, helping minorities receive tech certifications.
